Road to Zero – Free Immersive Excursion Program
Through powerful simulations and real-world scenarios, Road to Zero demonstrates why the human body cannot withstand major collision forces and highlights the critical importance of vehicle safety features, safe road design and safer choices.
Reignite your students learning at Road to Zero!
Developed by the Transport Accident Commission in partnership with Melbourne Museum, Road to Zero is an award-winning, state-of-the-art Education Complex at Melbourne Museum.
Designed specifically to align with the Year 9 and 10 Science and Health & PE, and VCE VM curriculum, Road to Zero offers innovative and immersive programs.
Led by knowledgeable road safety facilitators, excursions to Road to Zero include:
- Experience Space – an exploratory exhibition featuring 13 immersive experiences that showcase the latest in multi-sensory technology and engage students with critical road safety themes.
- Learning Studio – in the purpose-built learning hub, students undertake one of two curriculum-linked programs, including creating a persuasive public health video ad or tackling a virtual reality physics experiment using VR and touch table technology.
Road to Zero examines road safety through an evidence-based and scientific lens, providing a unique experience for students outside the classroom.
Road to Zero is free for all Victorian secondary schools.
